The manufacture suggests 14+, but this product is enjoyable for much younger ages. 8+ should have no trouble controlling the cars. Please however take the time to educate younger children into the effects of taking turns at high speeds, fast doesn't always = victory :) What is HO Scale? HO Scale means the cars are 1:87th real size, or similar to a Hot Wheels Car I have an older set of slot cars and track, is this interchangeable? Yes, most AFX and other cars can be interchangeable.
