The Tairona was a Colombian Chibcha - speaking Indian Tribe from the Sierra Nevada Region - Santa Marta - Colombia. Tumbaga was the name given by the Spaniards to an alloy of gold, silver and copper, which they found widely used in pre-Columbian Meso - America and South America.
