12" x 18" x 3" Display Case (outside dimentions) Actual viewing area of the glass is 10 1/2" x 16 1/2" For displaying, protecting, and keeping your treasures dust free. It will hold items up to 2" thick. No need to fasten your items with wire or glue. The soft foam filler will hold them securly in place when the lid is closed, so they will not fall to the bottom of the case when hung on the wall. This also allows you to easily remove the item for closer inspection. There are 2 layers of 1" foam. This makes it easy to mount items of different thicknesses by simply removing part of the bottom layer. These cases are stained and then sprayed with 2 coats of clear satin polycrylic (hand rubbed between coats) to give them a beautiful protective finish. This style has a light walnut colored stain, with 'Polished Brass' hardware, locking latches and 2 keys. All of my cases are assembled with glued and hardwood dowelled corners and reinforced with the decorative metal corners. I use double strength glass (not plastic). They will arrive ready to hang flat against the wall. With several 1/4" mounting holes in the back they will hang in any direction with no bulky metal hangers sticking out from the top or sides!!!! Colored background material included. You can have red, blue, tan, green, or black. Please specify the background color you want when making your payment. I also sand and stain the inside of these cases so you can remove all or part of the foam and use them as a shadowbox type display. I have been building these cases in various sizes for over 27 years. You can be confident that you are buying a quality product you will be proud to hang on your wall or give as a gift.
