As they have many health benefits, more and more people in the US grow them.In warm climates the plant is perennial, and will provide harvests for many years. In southern California, it harvests from spring to winter. The growth habit is spreading, with the floppy stems trailing on the ground or shelf.They grow well in full sun or part shade.
