I AM OFFERING A REPRODUCTION COPY SEALED BETWEEN 3M LAMINATE. ABOUT THE SIZE OF A BUSINESS CARD, IT WILL BE A REAL ADDITION TO YOUR AUTOGRAPH OR WWII MEMORABILIA COLLECTION. ALSO MAKES A GREAT GIFT FOR THE SOLDIER OR VETERAN IN YOUR LIFE. GENERAL GEORGE S. PATTON'S "BASTOGNE" PRAYER CARD WAS MADE FAMOUS DURING DECEMBER OF 1944, IN OCCUPIED FRANCE. BEFORE THE "BATTLE OF THE BULGE" BEGAN, GEN. PATTON CALLED ON HIS ARMY CHAPLAIN TO PREPARE A "FAIR WEATHER FOR BATTLE PRAYER" BECAUSE OF THE INCESSANT RAINS AND FOG STALLING HIS 3RD ARMY'S FORWARD MOVEMENT ACROSS FRANCE. A CHRISTMAS SALUTATION WAS ADDED ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE ALONG WITH GENERAL PATTON'S SIGNATURE. THE PRAYER WAS THEN DISTRIBUTED TO EVERY SOLDIER IN THE 3RD ARMY WHICH INCLUDED MY FATHER. IT WAS MADE FAMOUS AMONG HIS TROOPS AND IN HISTORY BECAUSE AFTER WEEKS OF RAIN AND FOG, THE WEATHER UNEXPECTEDLY TURNED CLEAR FOR THE BETTER PART OF A WEEK. THIS ALLOWED THE 3RD ARMY WITH AIR SUPPORT TO STOP THE GERMAN COUNTER OFFENSIVE. LATER, A SCENE FROM THE MOVIE "PATTON" ENHANCED IT'S FAME (GO TO "YOUTUBE" AND TYPE "PATTON PRAYER SCENE" TO SEE IT).
