Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE Annette Himstedt 2009 Farewell Collection Ping Mei Doll Ping Mei is one of 5 dolls created for Annette Himstedt’s Farewell collection offered exclusively through The Toy Shoppe of Richmond, Virginia. Ping Mei is limited to only 43 dolls. Annette hand-finished each doll in the collection herself. Ping Mei is an adorable Chinese girl with semi hand-knotted 100% real human hair adored with flowers. She wears a velvet shirt and pants trimmed with hand-dyed ribbons and a cotton batiste skirt embellished with lace trim. She wears knitted cotton socks with silk suede shoes trimmed with red silk suede. She is a single head sculpt and is 35.83 inches tall. The five dolls of the Farewell Collection are the most child-like vinyl dolls that Annette has ever created! Annette has sculpted captivating, charming faces that are rich in emotion and expression. Each of these Kinder has stunning mouth-blown, German glass eyes. The jointing in their upper arms and at their neck offers realistic posing opportunities. The love and care that went into creating this exceptional collection is obvious, from their custom hand-painted faces and hand-knotted wigs to their spectacular outfits - all designed by Annette, of course! The collection was featured on the cover for one of Doll Reader magazines 2009 editions. Ping Mei was purchased by myself directly from the Toy Shoppe. I was on a waiting list and was lucky enough to be chosen. Her original retail price was $2,698. She has been displayed in my smoke-free home. However, she has never been played with and I have no children. Doll comes with original box and shipper box and certificate of authenticity shown in photos. There is a small tear in the original box just above the word “kinder” I tried to show this in the photos. Please feel free to ask questions and I can provide additional photos via email. No returns accepted. Free shipping is for continental US only. For international and Hawaii/Alaska please contact seller for pricing.Annette personally hand signed Ping Mei on her upper left leg. Also, there are about 14 small green dots on her front and back torso. I have added photos of the signature and the dots on the front. The dots on the back are too small to photograph. From what I can find on the internet this was a problem in the resin in some dolls manufactured from 2006 forward. There are no other marks, defects or streaks in the body, limbs, face or clothing.
