Rarebro Records Papo Felix Meets Ray Rodriguez Ghetto Records 1971 U.S.A. Original Pressing : Not A Recent Re-Issue Strict Guaranteed Grading : NM/NM-/VG+/VG Record: VG High shine and luster of NM (hasn't been played much) but is covered in light scuffs/scratches that affect play: light background crackle, pops here and there, a few deeper scratches on the intro of A2 (faint clicks) & one pressing bubble on B2 (5 pops). Perfectly acceptable copy. Plays loud and bright. Cover: VG+ Cover is strong and tight with little wear/use, some stains on back, no splits, record label has small paper tears around the spindle hole (factory). Legendary latin LP by Papo Felix & Ray Rodriguez from 1971. Produced by Joe Bataan with arrangements by Ray's brother Bob Rodriguez. This LP features Papo Felix on "Para Puerto Rico Voy", "Hechate Paya" and "Solo Me Admiras" and instrumentals on "Felix The Cat", Workout Part I", "Workout Part II","Bob And Earl In E Minor" & "Senor Flauta". This is the rarest release on Ghetto Records, which was bankrolled by a Harlem drug dealer and run by Joe Bataan. Unusual optical illusion cover by Ralph Mullet and one of Izzy's best creations: the cat playing trash can bongos. Stereo. Recommended.
