Original Fine Art Paintings & Giclee's by Eric Dull I recently began creating small original watercolor and gouache paintings to offer on Ebay. These wonderful miniature works used to be referred to as “ Jewels” by illustrators, and that is truly what they are. They make great framed pieces and gifts. They can even be collected and traded as ACEO’s This little print has become my most popular selling print on Ebay. In fact the original Signed Limited Edition of this print has sold out. Becuase of it's popularity I have decided to continue to offer it as a Open Edition Print to give more people a chance to enjoy it. “ Black Capped Chap” is the title of this piece. When we walk among the trees he calls to us from the braches. When we sit in the sun he chats with us from the feeder. Our little friend with the big heart. The Black Capped Chickadee. I am always amused by these little birds. They seem to think they are far larger than the really are. I have watched them call an alarm to other birds when a hawk is near. Only to stay in the open after the other birds have fled. And the hawk, well he never bothered the chickadee. Maybe the little guy just was to small to eat, or maybe it was respect. I'll never know. The original artwork was painted on Crescent Illustration Board using high quality Winsor & Newton watercolor and gouache paints. Painted edge to edge the piece measures Approximately 2.5 x 3.5 inches. The print was made using high quality archival inks rated up to 100 years. Prints should be stored under glass on in a album. I am a professional artist.
