A WW1 Italian 'Farina' helmet shell. This is the first pattern which was taller than the later version. These were worn with a large cushion type liner (like a padded cap) which was separate from the helmet outer-shell, please see right-hand side of last pic. They were worn either way round (deep side to the front as seen in last pic). It is in very good used / aged condition though very little paint finish remains. It is quite heavy (too heavy for the postal service) so it would have to go via carrier. Very rare indeed.
