Elk Forest Farms, Inc. has a nice John Deere 450B crawler dozer up sale. I will update this page tomorrow with the S/N and the hours. Please check back. The machine is powered by a 4-cylinder John Deere diesel engine that starts and runs excellent. The engine has it's original side covers. The transmission works well with 8 speeds forward and 4 speeds reverse. It pushes good with no visable leaking or hesitations. We put a brand new seat assembly on it. The lever steering works great both ways. We have just serviced the steering clutch adjustments per the JD tech manual. The machine comes with a set of original manuals. The previous owner told me that they had put steering clutch packs in the machine about 2 years ago. They had quit using it because they bought a new Cat Hystat dozer and parked this one. There is no known issues with this machine. I bought it from a small paving contractor. The undercarrige is in great used condition as shown in the pictures. All bottom rollers are in great shape and do not shake. The top rollers look almost new. The pins and bushings in the chains are in great shape and have never been turned. All of the hydraulics are strong with no visable leaking. The blade cutting edges are recently replaced and in good shape. We have professionally repainted the dozer according using true JD enamels. I do not see any bolts missing or broken bolts on the frame rails, track frames, or axles. The dozer is a nice dozer ready for use. It weighs in at 15,000 lbs.
