This eBay listing has ended : VINTAGE 1980 30th ANNIVERSARY LES PAUL STANDARD GOLDTOP GUITAR
Hi, This was my main (actually only) gigging guitar from 1990 to 1995. It performed like a champ & has served me well. It's been in my closet (half tuned) ever since then & now it's time for someone else to enjoy it. I changed the strings & tuned her up & she plays as good as ever. It has a very early serial number... A 0026 Aside from some small dings & buckle rash down to the wood (as shown in my pictures) there is no damage, no cracks or repairs. The bridge pickup has half the output as the neck pickup. Back in the '90s that wasn't the case...both pickups had equal output. Oh...I had THE MAN himself, Les Paul sign it back in the day...the signature has faded. Also, the worn gold plated pick up covers are not original...the original ones will be included. The original case's bottom latch is broken. Thanks for looking! I have 1150+ positive transactions...no negs. I always deal straight up so BID WITH CONFIDENCE!!! Shipping and tracking to the lower 48 states will cost a flat $60.00. All items will be shipped within 5 business days of cleared payment. Please ask all questions BEFORE bidding. ........................................................................................................................................................................................ ****IMPORTANT!!!**** - Bidders with any NEGATIVE FEEDBACKS MUST CONTACT ME BEFORE BIDDING...SAME FOR BIDDERS WITH 10 OR LESS FEEDBACKS. - I reserve the right to cancel any unwanted bids. On Feb-02-12 at 14:52:25 PST, seller added the following information: Questions from a bidder: 1.) Are those the original frets? Yes. 2.) How much fret wear has the frets undergone? There are small divots around the first three frets on the three treble strings. Other than that there is little wear. I would say that the frets are excellent & nowhere close to needing a re-fret. 3.) Is the neck straight? Yes, it's straight. The action is very low, with no buzzing or dead notes anywhere on the neck. All notes ring out clearly. It's a joy to play. 4.) This guitar DOES have the long tennon, yes? Tennon is the strip of wood that is seperate in the cutaway curve below the binding? It starts on the 17th fret & runs to about an inch from the tip of the cutaway. 5.) Any idea what is wrong with the bridge P/U pot as you mention in your description? Sorry, no idea. I opened the control plate & was thinking I may find a loose wire, but all looked good. I didn't bring it to a shop to have it looked at. 6.) Please fill in the blank, "the guitar is ___% orginal. 100% except the plastic pu selector switch tip is missing & the worn gold pu covers are not original...the original ones will be included, and two pickup surround screws. 7.) List all components that have been changed out from its 'Original Factory Shippped' condition. The modfified/ non-original components are: ............ See question 6. 8.) Will you include or do you still have all of the original components? ... will THEY be included in the sale of this guitar? Original Pickup covers will be included. 9.) Lastly, is there anything that you believe I should be aware of before I purchase this guitar? No untold issues.
