Completely amazing all-over intaglio carved ABP glass fruit bowl, adorned with at least six types of fruit, flowers and leaves all minutely shaded and embellished with engraved detail. Unmarked but almost certainly Tuthill of Corning, first decade 1900s, in perfect condition, no damage or flaws. Cut & engraved on the exterior, consisting of a wide frieze of realistic fruits, in an Art Nouveau style, including strawberries, blackberries, pears, apples, plums, peaches, and a flower or two, leaves, stems and fern-like infill, below a scalloped rim and above a lappet of panel cuts raised on a knopped pedestal base with lozenge foot, truncated and sloped on the short axis, rounded on the long axis, with a small floral reprise at each point, miter-cut star on the underside. This listing closes Monday evening (US Eastern time). From the estate of a lifetime glass collector in Alabama (deceased). Full provenance to winning bidder on request.Maker's mark: No makers mark that I can find. Date: Circa 1899 - 1910.Condition: Excellent. Remarkable condition. I can find no damage, foot and rim in perfect shape, not a blemish. Typical minor scratch marks on the underside of the base attest to its age and authenticity. Size: The oval bowl is 10.5" long and 5.7" wide, and just short of 8" tall. The glass weighs a hefty 5 lbs (2.25 kg). Packing & Shipping: I pack all my items with the utmost care and in a way which, if I were the buyer, I would want to receive them myself. I have seventeen years’ experience packing and shipping delicate items always carefully protected and firmly padded to prevent looseness and movement. Just a quick glance at my feedback should set your mind at rest, as many buyers are kind enough to mention how pleased they were with the way their item was packed.
