Like any baby boomer, I loved Roy Rogers, so when I heard they were holding a memorial service for him in Apple Valley where he lived, I went & was lucky enough to be the last person allowed inside the church for the service! I got to see Dale Evans, The Sons of the Pioneers, that performed, as well as other celebrities! I took pics & will include 2 films from those. When I come across the rest, as well as the pics, I will put them up for auction too. The program is more of a beige color, not like it shows in the pics. The signature "W.C.Veal"? was signed by a heavyset gentleman wearing a black western style suit with matching black derby hat, who told me his name was Gene Autry. While he coud have been a bloated Gene Autry, I don' t know why he signed a different name unless he was not Mr. Autry and just pulling my leg! When I come across the pics I took of him, I will also include them in my future Roy Rogers auction. Please ask all questions before bidding, all my sales are final. Oh! By the way, if anyone knows who this Mr. W. C. Veal is or was, I sure would appreciate hearing from you! Thank you.
